Mac Allister needs to stay on the mat
The yellow card rule means that Alexis MacAllister has to keep his cool so he doesn’t miss the big meeting in November.
The 24-year-old Argentine was shown a yellow card in the win over Nottingham after he tackled Morgan Gibbs-White in the second half.
Thus, “Macca” has now collected four yellow cards (Chelsea, Wolves, Tottenham and Forest) and according to the regulations, he will miss the next league match if he were to suffer a fifth.
On Sunday, Liverpool travel to classic Kenilworth Road to face Luton and a week later Brentford await at home at Anfield.
If Mac Allister is shown a yellow card against Luton, he will be forced to stand over Brentford, while a yellow card against Brentford would see him miss the summit clash against Man City at the Eithad straight after the international break in November.
Both “Macca” and Jürgen Klopp probably have a bit to think about there.
Otherwise, Trent Alexander-Arnold was awarded his third yellow card of the season against Forest, but none of the other players are in danger of suspension.
Curtis redo igen
As you know, The Reds have suffered four red cards this autumn: Alexis Mac Allister against Bournemouth (which was withdrawn), Virgil van Dijk against Newcastle and Diogo Jota and Curtis Jones against Tottenham.
Jones has now completed his three-match ban and can join the squad that travel to Luton on Sunday.
