The couple has been together for 12 years, but o Nikos Psarras declares that as spontaneously as their marriage happened, so easily it continues, since the actor had declared last May in the magazine OK! for their wedding:

“I have not felt married in the heavy sense of the term. The decision to get married came very naturally to us, it happened easily and spontaneously. If anything changed with marriage, I would say that my life became quieter. I don’t feel like it’s suffocating or limiting me. I haven’t stopped being myself.”

Love seems to have been lightning fast in the case of Nikos Psarras who could not take his eyes off Elena Karakoulis when he first saw her in the theater. “When Elena walked into the rehearsal and I saw her, the first thing I thought was ‘could this be the mother of my child?’ By the time he sat down, everyone had taken it for granted. She understood it too because I was betrayed by Nikos Kouris who told her “You have become very beautiful, imagine from the time you entered the rehearsal Psarras has gone crazy”. We all went out together as a troupe and it happened little by little. The next day I went and kissed her hand and introduced myself because I was embarrassed. Very soon we lived together. He moved to my house in 1.5 months”, he described a year ago on the show “Studio 4”.

“My son and I have a very good relationship, I try to be close to him as much as possible, he gets angry with my work. When he was little, he used to say ‘bad dad, all theater'”, Nikos Psarras had confided in the show “Eleni”.
